A country girl at heart, Jane Kathol finds endless inspiration in the quiet beauty and ever-changing seasons of Nebraska. Her landscapes capture the state’s unique character — from the tightly rolling hills that seem to ripple in the wind, to the hidden groves of trees that offer shade and mystery, to the winding creeks that weave silver ribbons through the countryside. Each scene tells a story of a place she knows and loves, revealing the incredible variety and richness of our diverse state.

Working primarily in acrylics, Jane creates original compositions that are truly one of a kind. Her portfolio also includes intimate close-up studies of flowers — moments of delicate detail — and contemporary pieces where she explores color, texture, and form in new ways.

Jane holds a BA in Fine Arts from Creighton University, and since 2013 her work has been featured in four solo exhibitions across Yankton, SD, Hartington, NE, and Hot Shops in Omaha, NE. Her paintings have also been included in the Soup ‘R Art event in Norfolk, NE, and displayed at the Nebraska Department of Tourism in Lincoln. Whether in a gallery or in someone’s home, her goal is to share the spirit of Nebraska through her art.
